Being creative is one thing, harnessing creativity and channelling creative energy in an appproriate direction is another. Also, having what you can use isn't the same thing as actually using it. You cannot call your self a full bred scriptwriter until and unless you can prove to the world that you can play around with the most mind-caging, attention-buying ideas. This is what SWF members were best at.

About Reel Dialogues
The Reel Dialogues project aims to explore how Hausa and British media can work together to create a basis for further co-operation and understanding. It seeks ‘’to provide a training and production environment which encourages dialogue between filmmakers in Northern Nigeria and the UK, supports the development of the Hausa film industry, and produces films that express the Hausa culture accurately and creatively to a national and international audience.” Over the past seven months, the British Council Kano, in partnership with ScriptNet UK, has conducted a scriptwriting training programme in a series of three workshops: The results of the hard work is the churning out of well equipped and fully trained young filmmakers. Already, they'd produced five excellent short films. Scriptwriters Forum Nigeria is an offshoot of the Reel Dialogues Project. The Reel Dialogues Project is a British Council's Connecting Futures Project that was supported by UNESCO.

Only 32 images are used to create BOB (six images are for BOB himself). The data that draws BOB has over 3:1 compression (but is on the same page). BOB works on all computer platforms using a proper browser (it even works on a Unix workstation -- there are special automatic adjustments for speed on HP workstations). BOB does not rely on any Applets or CGI Script pushing. The page of BOB is about 25kb, and the images for BOB are less than 7kb (most average pages have over 30kb).
